St. Peter's is present in the community in a variety of ways from working with those in need to proving space for community groups to meet.
St. Peters runs a food pantry that is open twice a week, partners with God's Army in helping with their day shelter for the homeless and has seasonal events including Thanksgiving meals and providing gifts for children at Christmas.
groups that gather
Our parish house provides space for many community programs including two Narcotics Anonymous groups and an Alcoholics Anonymous group. The Royal Garden Club of Perth Amboy also uses our space along with a non-profit Cheerleading Group for low-income families and Pack #3 of the Cub Scouts.
If you are in the hospital or home-bound, our clergy and lay eucharistic visitors will be happy to visit you and bring communion. There are also several opportunities to receive blessings from our annual animal blessing service and blessing of your house.
