Welcome Freddie Paiva
Hello! My name is Freddie Paiva and I will be worshipping with you for the next year and 5 months (until approximately Easter 2019). I am currently in the process of discernment to the priesthood. As part of that process, the diocese is having me spend time in a parish outside of my home parish to get a broader experience of ministry, and to learn and grow in my faith in a new environment. To my great fortune, the diocese decided to place me with St. Peter’s and I am looking forward to worshipping, learning, and growing as a community together.
I will be joining the parish this Sunday, and wanted to briefly introduce myself to all of you beforehand. I will be 30 years old (as of the 11th) and with the exception of the years I was in college, I have lived in Sayreville my entire life. My home parish is Holy Trinity South River, where I have been a member for about 4 and a half years now. Before that, I was a lifelong Roman Catholic. I currently work for a substance abuse rehab as an admissions counselor and have been in the field for most of the past 5 and a half years. In my free time, I enjoy cross-stitching and needlepoint. If you would like to know more about me, or anything mentioned above, please feel free to sit down and chat with me after mass or at coffee hour, as I would love to get to know more about all of you as well. I thank you in advance for your warm welcome and look forward to the journey we are about to begin together. -Freddie
