Sunday worship at St. Peter’s is fairly traditional with a quiet Rite I Mass at 8:00 am (no music) and Rite II at 10:00 am with outstanding music led by the choir under the direction of our enthusiastic Music Director R. Douglas Sheldon and accompanied by our gifted organist, Jon Tyillian. We use both the 1982 Hymnal and Lift Every Voice and Sing.
Wednesdays at 6:30 pm we have an informal and interactive Eucharist, often using Enriching Our Worship and focusing on Lesser Feasts and Fasts and Holy Women, Holy Men.
Saturday evenings at 6:00 pm we celebrate La Misa in Spanish in the chapel. Special feast days see enthusiastic celebrations at all services.
The children of St. Peter’s attend a lively and growing Sunday school for PreK-6th grade which begins at 9:45 am. Led by Superintendent Karen Hunte, the classes are taught by several dedicated volunteers. The whole Sunday school joins the larger congregation for Communion, bringing a vibrant spirit to the church and ensuring that the children know they are very much a part of the church.
